Question Julian Gollop Games?

After playing Chaos (One of my all time favourite Multiplayers!) on the speccy emu the other day, I was wondering what other Julian Gollop games have been released, for the Amiga & other systems?

I know theres Rebelstar Raiders & am i right when I say he was involved with UFO? but are there any others Im missing?

You are indeed correct. Julian Gollop is responsible for UFO: Enemy Unknown. What a brilliant game that is!

Don't forget that he's also responsible for it's predecessor... Laser Squad!

Julian Gollop is Managing Director of his own company called Codo Technologies. They're latest game is the excellent looking new Laser Squad entitled... Laser Squad Nemesis. This site also lists all of Gollop's previous games.

Just been catching up on some of my old posts and came upon this. His site is no longer available and I was wondering if Mr Gollop was still around the computer games scene today?

Also was Laser squad nemesis actually any good?

Chaos on the spectrum was a brilliant game if you had a load around playing it. One of my fave multiplayer games ever to have had the pleasure to play.

Oooh. I love old threads.

Its a shame about Julian Gollops website. I have no idea what he's doing now. Wow that Total Chaos is a HUGE download...

77 MEGABYTES!!

Downloading now. Its a little odd that the LHA file on the official website is broken. Maybe they should update the link to point to Aminet.

I've seen that review before... 100% for everything?

"If you're into strategy this is the game for you!".... insightful stuff. That guy shouldn't give up the day job, that's for sure.

I agree with you that his review should have been better. For one, the scores are far to low. They should be at least 200% for everything since it is at least twice as good as any other Amiga strategy game.

I know I will be lynched for this, but if you love Chaos then you should play the Atari ST remake of it by Martin Brownlow.

Thanks for this thread chaps.
RebelStar & Laser Squad were my all-time favorite games.
( Odd for someone who isn't generally a RTS fan )

Somehow Laser Squad Nemesis slipped by me...

Oooo happy again.

Is it my imagination or was there a L.S. like game on the ST but the buildings had more than one floor?

Dunno, but if you want to try out another Laser Squad inspired Amiga game then give Sabre Team a try. Its pretty good.

If anyone is interested, I've written Laser Squad remake called Stellar Forces. It has pretty much the same game mechanics as Laser Squad, but can be hotseated across the internet, has fancy 3D graphics and also a gaming lobby so players can connect. And it's all free, of course.

Nice. I might give a try during the Christmas period.
Perhaps you already know those, but here are two forums on which you can find UFO/X-com fans and therefore probably some Laser Squad fans:
http://www.xcomufo.com/forums/index.php?act=idx
http://www.strategycore.co.uk/forums/

Not sure what the best section to advertise a semi-related game would be though.

Thanks a lot for the links. I've been trawling the internet for LS/XCom-related sites but those two seem to have completely passed me by!
