Speedball 2 Evolution

It seems that the Bitmap Brothers games will be revived to modern phone OSes.

Following Speedball 2 Evolution, other classics are planed to come up next.

Here is the link with the news: http://toucharcade.com/2010/10/13/of...n-coming-soon/

I see its coming out as a "minis" title too, does that mean it will be playable on psp and ps3? I would only attempt playing something like this with actual controls. I am over touchscreen virtual controllers in a big way...

Really lousy trailer, no gameplay ? And an Android version would be interesting, dont have or want iphone/ipad. --- Update: yeah without controller this will maybe suck, im unable to really control my android phone precisely (htc desire).

Meh, Speedball 2 was crap. Much preferred Speedball, it was without a doubt the better game.

I wish they would sort out the issue for the Xbox 360 version on Arcade, it was taken down after the publisher went under. I don't understand the problem but it is a shame. I have the demo version on my hard drive but I cannot buy it now! Very frustrating - at least I have a demo as there no reference to it whatsoever on LIVE anymore.

I have to admit that I also prefer the first Speedball. Could be explained by that I just had Speedball 1 for years and just learned many years later about Speedball 2. But then I wasn't into Amiga games anymore.
Speedball 2 is great, but it's Speedball 1 where I have memories from childhood. So I prefer the 1st .

Don't hate me .

Just out of interest, has anyone played the 2008 release of Speedball 2 that was available for the PC? Is it any good?

I agree. Touch screen controls are only good for a very limited range of games/genres. I really can't imagine enjoying Speedball on a touchscreen. Cadaver could work though, if done right...
