It would also practically require extra vsync mode to sync emulator output to correct display output channel.
It could be done in the future, then ?
Winuae could be the first who can support this feature !!

3D effect should be prepared from start, conversion is weaker but still ok.

i bought a lg passive 3d tv.
It seems to be better and cheaper than 3d tv with active glasses(glasses are expensives and the display is darker).
i'll tell you if the result is good.
Which game do you think should be good to test ??
Myself i think about lotus 2 and stardust tunnel stage.
And i will for sure test turrican 1 2 3.

ok i did some test :
turrican : no effect
lotus : the effect is good
lionheart : the scrolling is deeper.
every game with good perspective or in 3d are improved and some like t-zero are improved too, even in game.
But it's clearly not a good reason to buy a TV 3d, what i hoped was an improvement with parallax scrolling but the 3d doesn't improve it, too bad.
nvidia 3d vision seems to work with winuae (with the last version) but you have to set the display in 1280x720 50 or 60 hz, or 1920x1080 in 24 hz.
It worked for me. arf if only we could have remasterized amiga games in 3d, like movies !!! dreams mode off.
PS: i had to install 3dtv play too.
ps: why not a stereoscopic filter ? I'm joking.

the idea of winuae based stereoscopic filter is really cool.
I just found [ Show youtube player ].
on its homepage, there is only the binary of this emulator, cannot find sourcecode, which could help T. Wilen

edit: source code of this snes-3d version is available

I think on Amiga you can not separate graphics layers.

There are no layers. (Yes, there are, sort of but they have nothing in common with NES hardware)

Don't attempt to match totally different hardware!

EDIT: and 2d layer "3d" is stupid idea.

so the snes emulator creates this feature on the emulated snes hardware?
i had the impression, it's "just" a post-production filter.

well, i found iZ3D, now discontinued stereoscopic driver.
latest download on 3dgeeks.
after installation i have some on-scsreen menu on my winuae window, but i cannot see the effect - maybe reading the manual could help

i really think that with 2d amiga games the conversion in 3d is just a gadget.
To have a good effect the game should be written for stereoscopic display.
But i have to say that the lg 2d 3d conversion give good result with some amiga games like kidchaos and some others but often with 2d amiga games the result is near null.
it's often just a gadget but if you buy a 3d tv or a 3d monitor who did the 2d -> 3d converion natively why not use it but shouldn't be a goal or a priority not whoooah effect here.
If a filter existed it should be coded to detect scrolling and put the maximum 3d effect on it but it's not the case with usual 2d 3d algorythm.

PD game Raider 3DX by Richard Horne was designed for X-Specs glasses. Joystick must be in port 1, glasses in port 2. I don't know how to play this game, some weird space strategy.
