Sydney Hunter and The Sacred Tribe is available as Digital Download. Really nice Montezuma's Revenge style game. Of course it's technically much better with very smooth and accurate controls. LINK |

Why can't I get it in itch.io?. I like to get the games in that place and store them there. I don't mind to pay a dollar more or so.
It would be nice to get it from there, but that's just my opinion. -Offtopic- Starglider, don't care, I won't repeat my joke . |

Question: Using the Ultimate II+, which is the fastest way to load a d64 file?.
What option/cartridge or maybe loading a JiffyDos file (I don't have it but in the kernal) that I don't know how. EDIT: Answer: I've used this tutorial installing the JiffyDos file. https://devdef.blogspot.com.es/2017/...-and-1541.html And here you've got info about the cartridges: https://devdef.blogspot.com.es/2014/...artridges.html So question solved. I was loading Canabalt and it was taking a lot of time. Using JiffyDos now takes seconds. [ Show youtube player ] Last edited by Retrofan; 13 June 2018 at 03:41. |

I want to tell about this new video with a new "Commodore Plinky Plonky song"
Wonderful music from a great composer, using a real C64 and an adapted C= music keyboard with potentiometers included: [ Show youtube player ] Judge by yourself. |

I quite like it, though it's a bit plinky plonky for my taste.

LOL. He (Retro Man Cave) really made you a favour. It's the kind of "difference" that marketing likes to have, and you've also made a wonderful improvement adding his -modulated- comments in the video.
I just think that the video is now better than the original one. |

Hi folks!
Is there something like an FPGA implementation of the C64 with near-perfect compatibility I can buy right now? I had the Chameleon64 but I sold it because it looked like it would never have SID filters implemented, and now it's out of stock forever. There's also the ZX-UNO, but it's C64 core is far from perfect and even games like Arkanoid don't work. There's the Ultimate 64 board, but it's made with real old chips instead of FPGAs so thats not mi cup of tea either... |

Ultimate 64 is an fpga implementation of the C64. You have only the choice to install 2 real SIDs.
Regarding to your question the actual better fpga of C64 is the Chameleon, which i own. In MiST platform there is another C64 fpga core which has a good compatibility. I tested on it several games like Sam's Journey, Pang, and all the latest releases of this period. Turbo Chameleon 64 will return to the market soon, i think together with the release of C64 Reloaded Mk3. |

Guys, just a heads up, I might be asking lots of C64 questions soon
Bought a C64 at a boot fair on sunday. Came with a datasette and 2 x 1541's for £30. Very nice condition and the motherboard looks clean. Came with no cables or power supply Never owned a C64 before and that's a very odd power supply. I've ordered a 9v AC transformer and a 5v module to build my own. I'll use my bench power supply for the initial power up. Wish me luck! |
