Happy Have you ever found anything 'odd' when opening a warranty sealed Amiga?

Poll to follow. I remember someone taking a door card off on a volkswagen and finding a Yoghurt pot from the factory!

I found:
spare screw from nowhere in my NES clone (http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/9528/bs500asqv2.jpg)
a lot of strange, sticky white dust in my Python joystick
two odd switches hidden under case of Sega Genesis clone (marked only as SW3 & SW4)

Of the above choices, only two are relevant in my case (pun intended!). In my brand new Escom A1200 I found only a motherboard (as expected), and in a used Commodore A1200 I bought recently there was both a motherboard and Coca-Cola spillage (or what looked very much like it!).

My favorite was finding two roaches in that unused pop-off NES compartment (in a US system).

One was the insect kind, one wasn't. I wasn't tempted to mess with either considering how close together they were. Eww.

How sure can you be that it wasn't assassinated in some twisted rodent conspiracy? Suicide, accidental or otherwise, sure sounds awfully convenient.

My old dealer told me they once found a complete electronic screwdriver (the kind like they use in F1 to change tires during a pitstop) tucked away in the engine bay of a newly deliver Range Rover

To be honest i don't break the seals unless i have to! If it works then i will leave the seal intact until something goes wrong or i feel like modding something

Don't talk to me about mice! A couple of years ago I opened my car bonnet to check the oil level and discovered mice had decided to make nests in the engine compartment lining. They had ripped it to shreds and the padded insides of the lining was everywhere.

And then last week I went into the shed and found mice had decided to make that their home. They had eaten all our boots, anything made of cotton in the draws, and the gazebo!

Regarding the findings inside Amigas. Only ever found lots of dust and crumbs when opening up A500's I've acquired over the years.

If you have that sort problems with mice you should get a cat! Shoon could advise that more properly, as he has like some 30 cats or so. But from my experience a cat is also good to eat roaches too, so you can have your equipment in mint condition.
