Amiga 500 ION ITX PC Mashup.

Late last year I decided to have a go at building an Amiga mini-itx out of an old dead A500. Tried to do this without spending anything (Never works lol)

Some will be marmite on this, like it or hate it! this has been hiding away for way too long! Has took me ages because I loose interest too easy.

So far it runs. It is currently running XP SP2 and WinUAE. I plan to get Aros on instead sometime, I just wanted to proove it runs. Had a major issue with heat, hot air was pooling around the motherboard (Rubbish unsuitable psu to blame) so I have added a 40mm fan from a cisco switch. Seems to have sorted that out but this is a temp solution. I will be fitting a larger, skinny fan into the lid.

Got loads more to do:

Retrobrite case and keyboard
Fit new a1200 membrane (some keys are dead hence mini keyboard)
Fettle some plastic, edges, make blanking plates
Fit joystick ports
Wire up power and hdd access leds

All comments welcome! I was unsure myself at first but then I did the PC-Tower mod thing years ago and thought it would be crazy/fun to go the other way around this time lol:

EDIT: Will do some internal shots soon!
