EAB/Lemon Super League General Discussion

Not sure if this thread will get much use, but I think it would be a good idea anyway.

Seeing as I've decided to keep the Results thread locked for the sake of tidiness, there isn't anywhere we can have a chat about the Games League in general, I thought it would be good if we had a separate thread to discuss general League-related matters.

So if you want to talk about the results, standings, previous rounds, general banter, general queries about the competiton (or this thread ), anything really as long as it doesn't stray too far off-topic, this is the thread to do it.

Knew it. Something did smell fishy about that huge unbeatable score of yours!

Why voting for the next round ends 7 days before the end of the previous round? 3 or even 2 days would not be enough?

It gives Graham time to sort the thread out, decide on any rules, set up templates, find versions to play (non buggy) etc

Initially, I thought about doing the vote in the final week of each round but decided I didn't want to juggle the final week of scores (which could, in theory, be quite hectic) and keeping track of the votes at the same time. So I thought I could do it after each round, but that would mean a break in the compo every few weeks and would become stop-start, so doing it during the second week seemed ideal - you know well in advance what game is going to be played in the next round, and I can concentrate on keeping track of the game scores and league positions etc, during the final week.

However, as to why I don't finish the vote a few days before the end of each round.... erm, it never occured to me, believe it or not. Regardless I wanted to run the vote for a week so it didn't drag out for too long, so I just went for the first Saturday of the round to the second Friday (i.e, June 16th to June 22nd).

There's no real major reason, that's just the first thing I thought of. Don't think it makes a great deal of difference really, anyway.

I was just curious. It seemed odd to me that 7 days are needed to prepare everything, especially when you are very active in the forum. But that is OK with me I am satisfied with your answer. Thanks

Continuing from Round 3 Vote thread

And bad luck to ppill and mailman, who both somehow managed to miss that Apidya was ahead of Lotus 2 and Pang
Funny... Both of us were looking for the game we wanted to win. Ppil for Pang, me for Lotus 2

Apidya - great that the winner is another game that saves scores In that case I can compete and crash you guys
