T-Zer0 Amiga CD
the game crashes after playing a few seconds. Are audio tracks supported in Winuae? The game doesn't play them. I am looking for a working config. I don't know which type of Amiga is needed and what type of memory.

ok the game works fine now in WinUae. good job that emu
The audio tracks are still missing during gameplay. By mounting CD0, the OS shows an additional CD0:CDDA drawer. So he still recognizes the addtional audio tracks, it seems ??? |

After starting the game a test program pops up. It says no cd rom and no audio tracks. I have burned the iso and the audio tracks on a cd via a cue file. What could be the problem?

You do mount it as a real cd drive (uaescsi.device and CD filesystem) instead of mounting it as a harddrive?

Yes I have installed amicdfs from aminet. I have tried to mount the iso and the wav tracks in daemon tools with the same result.

Hi,
are you sure that you have burned the mp3 tracks also on the cd?! Maybe the cue-file isn´t correct. I have burned the game with mixed mode in nero. That works. Bye |

I have the iso and 9 mp3 files. I have selected mixed mode cd, so I can inserst the data and the audio tracks. The data track is the iso file. Is Nero burning the contents of the iso file or the iso file as one single file? DiscAtOnce or TrackAtOnce?
Maybe you can create an image of your game Cd in order to get a cue file. With this cue file and a few modification of file names I can try to burn the game again. here is my selfmade cue file: (converted the mp3 allready) FILE "T-Zer0(AmigaCD).ISO" BINARY TRACK 01 MODE1/2048 INDEX 01 00:00:00 FILE "Track.2.WAV" WAVE TRACK 02 AUDIO INDEX 01 00:00:00 . . . PiCiJi, from where did you get those files..? I would be interested in getting those files too, if they're downloadable at some site in the Internet..?

I have tried an amiga original game CD "Genetic Species". The game works fine and I have enabled CD music in game options. I can hear only sound effects not the CD music. Is an additional audio player needed?
edit: with idefix from aminet I can play the audio tracks in winuae (workbench 3.1). But the games itsself still doesn't recognize the audio tracks. Why? Last edited by PiCiJi; 01 September 2005 at 09:41. |

ok I have found out that my version of T-Zer0 is a cracked one (50 MB)
on this page: http://www.amiworld.it/giochi/tzero/tzero_eng.html I have red that the game is 266 MB (incl. setup menu for cd player) + add. audio tracks. So maybe my cracked version is the cause for the non working audio tracks. Where I can buy this game? Do you know a good shop? The other Amiga CD game I have "Genetic Species" is a original. I have red, that the game doesn't play the audio tracks often. Therefore a faq for Genetic Species exists in Aminet. I have followed the instructions in the faq but wasn't succesfull. the script says: --------------- This is a small script i do for solving my problem with the Audio Track with GeneticSpecies First don't use CD.device. The things i did, and it's working, is first install another device and also another filling system for the CD ROM You can use Atapi.device, but also other device, just try them For the FileSystem, i use Amicdfs2.40, it's free, and it's working ok I have used Amicdfs2.40 for file system. Is it possible to use atapi.device or only uaescsi.device? the readme says: ---------------- First you need to start without Startup-sequence (both mousebutton on boot) - Then in the Cli Window, type "LoadWB" (you can close that window , Endcli) Some Requester can appears like problem with datatype or whatever, just ignore them (click on ok or cancel, nevermind) - Then you can double-click on the icon from that file Work fine at home, but i don't know for other cgf I think you have more work if you own a GFX. But it's enough for a standart A1200 on a PAL screen (or NTSC). And i will be not responsible for anydamage, bla bla bla bla bla ... run dh0:c/setpatch ;this for the 680x0 and AGA screen (and some more) Mount CD0: ;This is for your .... CD ROM drive !!!! yeah ! ;Wait 10 ;May be you need wait the CD ROM mount if doesn't work adjust that value run execute Engine ;And then jump to the standart script ok after booting without startup-sequence, and "loadwb" I have executed the script above. all is working exept "run execute Engine" |
