Burning HD games to CD-ROM

Hi hope I've put this in the correct forum.

I have the HD version of Wild Cup Soccer (CD32) & Case Of The Cautious Condor (CDTV). Thing is I want to burn them to CD so I can play them from the CD like the original releases. I have just burned the HD files to a CD using Nero
but nothing boots up when I try to play them.

Any guidance would be appreciated as no doubt the answer is glaringly simple

When you say "nothing boots", exactly what do you mean? Do you mean the CD isn't readable by Workbench or are you really trying to boot from the CD?

You'll probably need to burn a lot more than game files to a CD in order to boot from it - take a look at a commercial CD ROM for the Amiga - an old Amiga Format cover CD will do. Look at it's contents in Explorer.... See what I mean? Loads of files and directories.

As well as various OS files, you also need the custom bootblock. I'm not sure where you'll find this, but it's about the place... (cd32.tm or cdtv.tm) and I'm not sure if you can burn this with a Windows-based burning program, or if you have to use an Amiga one.
Maybe Gary or Frostwork can give some advice?

You surely didn't make any sort of startup-sequence file, did you? you need one to boot.

I suppose also, that you mean WHDLoad iinstalls, as those games were not HD installable.

Hi!
I made a CD32-iso-HOWTO some weeks ago.
It's under the FAQ-page here:
http://eab.abime.net/faq.php?faq=cd3...d32_howto_item

Good luck!
