mouse icon pointer problem cd32 toolkit
Hi,
I ve noticed a problem with games requiring mouse input on the cd32 toolkit (Bull Run, Lore of Conquest, Moria as I creating a public domain cd compliation) When these games boot up from the cd the mouse pointer icon is not visible - pressing the right mouse button shows the drop down menus which means the mouse is recongised however the mouse pointer is not displayed. Do I need to add something to the start up script? |

Maybe custom pointers must be on floppy disk in DF0:?

Probably the System-Configuration on the ToolKit - So the screen is Black and doesnt show the Amiga Shell
On the 200 compilation Gary used SetPrefs to load different non Black System-Configuration when needed. Could also add JoyMouse to control mouse cursor with Joystick. Last edited by Retro1234; 02 February 2011 at 17:22. |

The mouse pointer is there in the debugging mode
However it is not there in testing mode and on the real cd I ve never used setprefs before - how would I use this - would i copy the contents to the bull run game folder and what would I need to add to the bull run start script which is currently CD0:Games/BULLRUN bullrun Its the same for Larn - with the mouse pointer being their in debugging mode but not in testing mode. |

Ok forget that, theres probably a number of ways of doing this
but try the System-Configuration in the Zone So Replace CD0:Devs/System-Configuration with the one in the Zone The Screen is still Black/Blank but the Mouse cursor is left Red/Default WB 1.x |

Using the new system configuration means that I no longer see the text "do you want to finalise the compilation" I had a black screen - I pressed "n" and the menu then appeared - I don't know if I would see the different text prompts if I keep this system configuration which would appear when I go to create and burn the disk

Rename and replace _System-Configuration so this System-Configuration is used in the finalised compilation or something like that.

Apologies - I didn;t change the name to _system-configuration - it was showing as just system-configuration and therefore was not being picked up - The games works fine now in test and I am now just going to check on the cd32 -
Thanks again for your help. |
