I knew there was no such lemming...I just thought that the best feature from Lemmings was the nuke button!

I used to love playing Operation Lemming that I got on a cover disk - it's like Zombie Apocalypse or T2 - where lemmings appear on a fixed screen and you've got your mouse-controlled crosshair and just shoot as many as you can.

My favourite Lemming dude is Lomax, but he's not on this list.

Lomax is a platform game where you control a Lemming who could use some of the common Lemmings abilities to make his way through the game.

Here he is deciding which ability to use, and the title screen with all his Lemming friends floating down from the sky...

The game was made by the same guys who made Lionheart and Flink for the Amiga, which you can easily tell my Henk Nieborg's beautiful pixel art. Such a shame we never got it on the Amiga.

^ That's some fine pixel art, but my fave Lemming is probably the first one who "dropped down" and began walking willy-nilly.

I think they went overboard with all the "variations" in later games, as almost always happens after commercial successes. "More of the same", yawn, "old wine in new bottles", etc. I only ever found the first game playable, despite the "advances" in sequels.
