The most impressive 3D graphics on unexpanded OCS Amiga?
Which demo (or game) has the most impressive 3D graphics on an unexpanded OCS Amiga? (1 mb RAM or less)
Do you have any suggestions? I would like to see what OCS Amiga really can do on this frontier but my knowledge on demos is far from perfect... |

Cybercon III had probably one of the most impressive 3D engines on a standard A500. Proper curves & cylinders etc..
The Assembly Line were geniuses at 3D, and highly under-rated |

For a demo.. try Spaceballs - Mobile Destinaton Unknown
http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=2965 They're pulling a few tricks there.. but it's pretty impressive |

No Second Prize - For maybe the speediest 3D engine on A500
Stunt Car Racing - For making 3D racing fun for the first time Hunter - For doing 3rd person free roaming & shooting, entering buildings, driving multiple vehicles years before GTA3 [ Show youtube player ] - for being the first Amiga demo to really show some decent texture mapping [ Show youtube player ] - for the extremely fluent 3D and for the amazing overall atmosphere Last edited by jizmo; 05 June 2016 at 22:16. |

Jizmo was spot on. I can only add Aquaventura for some nice combined 2d/3d with coppers
Elite II, Wing Commander and gunship 2000 don't really fit on a OCS only list imo. Too slow on anything below a 1200 (or an accellerator) |

Maybe Team Yankee as game have 4 screens with 3D graphics at the same time. Slow but playable. I can't see much improvement in single screen mode.

Actually I really love Frontier! it can get sluggish some times, but I generally think it looks beautiful and plays well on stock 68000. Zeewolf II is another fav. |
