WTB: A2000-compatible floppy drive (USA)

There seems to be something wrong with the Chinon FB-354 in my 2500. It can't read floppies written by my 3000 (the 3000's drive seems to be fine, I've been using it to transfer files in conjunction with a FAT floppy and a USB floppy drive on my Linux box). Instead, it displays every disk as DF0:BAD.

I've got a Gotek in the mail but it would be nice to have a functioning real drive in this machine. Does anyone in the US have a drive they can part with? I specify the US because I'm sure international shipping would cost more than the drive itself!

Do you have one of the 3000s with a high density drive? Did the 2500 stop reading them (it broke) or has it never read them? If never, I'd guess your 3000 has a high density drive and you are writing to a high density disk.

Just a wild guess but might be worth checking before shelling out. If not the issue, Amiga on the Lake sometimes has new ones in stock for a reasonable price.

I have some drives that work, but they are not A2000 original (faceplate is different, smaller).
I tested them with my external drive enclosure.

I believe I'm using double-density disks. I only recently got these machines and I'm not particularly familiar with Amiga, but the disks are labeled double-density and when I have the 3000 DOS-format one, then stick it in my USB floppy drive, Linux recognizes it as a 720KB disk.

I'll checkout Amiga on the Lake, thanks!

Ideally I'd like to find something that at least fills the case's cutout properly, but I may check in with you again if I don't have luck finding something that matches. Thank you.

I have one broken disk drive for A2000 with no face plate, but it gives me NDOS. Cleaning is not working.
