CU amiga Cineme 4D upploaded :-)
Ok, now c4d is in the zone. Just unzip then unrar the files. I installed the program in WinUAE with the serial i mentioned, but you also need to make som assigns to make it work.

Thanks for uploading all those files, but I haven't been able to open a single one. What are they - super compressed Windows only zip files? Xadmaster shows C4.z01 containing a 211Mb rar file (which is highly unlikely) and fails when unzipping and Unzip will only work on the C4.zip which also shows a 211Mb rar file and fails to unzip. |

Zevs : I have T3D running on WinUAE (with a simple WOrkbench installation and with AIAB).
I had to alter a few of the Icon settings and the amount of graphics memory in WinUAE. I'll take a note of all the changes made and post them soon .. I dug out my old Amiga and need a power cable - then I am going to try and transfer soem of my old scenes across to my laptop D. |

To unpack Cinema4D use winzip and unzip the Cinema4d.rar file inside it. I did this quick and dirty on windows. So first unzip then unrar the files...
Hope this helps, if not, I'll upload a new one in *.lha format. Zevs |

I can't use Winzip because I don't use Windows. (I like to keep my home Microsoft-free)
You must have used the Winzip 9 maximum compression which is incompatible with earlier versions of zip programs. I have no problems unzipping Winzip 9 regular compression zip files on my Amiga. |

Upping a decent version of Cinema4D to the Zone that's accessible and working for everyone seems to be proving a real challenge!
Anyway, I've just upped the HF release of Cinema4D V4.0 and there's no messing around with serial numbers or anything like that. Just make the assign as instructed in the .nfo file before running the installation. For those on slower Amiga set-ups, this speed patch on Aminet may prove useful in switching between 256 and 8 colour screens. @mr_A500 To answer an old question, I don't know the minimum specs of Tornado 3D and a quick browse of the manual didn't shed any light on them either (nor whether the program has any PPC support for that matter). @weasel_ch Great pics of your old stuff man! If you knock any new ones up then be sure to share them with us! @All Would be interested to know if anyone has had any success in installing the CU Amiga version of Cinema4D. Some specifics of how it was managed would be nice as I haven't had much success in installing it on my A4000. Should have another go I guess.....just for piece of mind if nothing else! @macce2
Oki doke.....I was just too lazy to d/l all the Aladdin 4D files that were in the Zone I guess the easiest way for me to find out will be to just try disk 2 that I got from the Zone with the Util Vault archive. Now where did I pack those blank disks.....sucks when you move and you can't find things that you've packed in boxes despite the content labels you put on them! |

Ok, I just uploaded Cinema4d, now in rar format. So just unrar the files and install. When I did this on WinUAE, I had to make som assigns to make the installer happy :-) I cant get tornado to work in WinUAE, so does anyone know if tornado works with picasso96 screens??? Zevs |

Thanks again DrBong! Your Cinema4D works!
(which is good because the rar files won't extract either!) |

Has anyone managed to get Imagine working in a higher screen res on Winuae and Picasso96? I have found the relevant settings in the preferences but it doesn't seem to work. It used to work on my Amiga 3000 with a Picasso IV, so I must be missing something.

Zevs : Glad you got it working ! I had to change a few tooltype settings - but the main one wsa to switch PPC off. I also found that you need to give enough graphics card memory settings in WinUAE also.
I have successfully located and transferred an old tutorial (that I made in about 1999) to my PC from my OLD Amiga And it works !!! I will upload this lha file to the zone as soon as I read how to do that ! I'm still trying to locate my big projects and copy them too. Unfortunately my Amiga kept blowing the fuses in the house last night !! Looks like I need a new power supply for my tower. Bugger. But it brought back old memories ... and still looks good. It was SO much better than win 3.11 / 95 !!!! D. |

Hi - great to see others with an interest in Amiga 3d !
Looks like I just missed Tornado3d on the Zone - I've been searching for it for ages to try using with Winuae - if any kind soul could upload it again that would be great ;o-) I have a full (dongled) copy I bought in 1999... just before Eyelight disappeared... and development stopped... what a shame ;o-( |
