SMB-Connect weird problem

i have samba installed and working fine, i can browse my amiga from my pc.

but, what i want to do is mount shares on the amiga using SMB-Connect.

i'm using kickstart 3.0/Workbench 3.1 and Miami Deluxe.

i have a file called SMB0 in sys:storage/dosdrivers
it has the tooltype ACTIVATE=1

the file reads as follows...


Handler=L:SMB-Handler
stacksize=40000
Priority=10
Globvec= -1
Startup="C=\\<pcname>\<sharename> MH=A1200 W=HOME U=Guest"

when i double click the icon (or run C:mount smb0: ) an icon appears on the desktop as 'share or HOST', which is nice, but when i double click it it just asks me to insert the volume!

whats up with that?


PS: smbfs just crashes on me, i have tried...

Not used this for a looooong time, but try to use "GUEST" instead of "Guest"

didnt work, but i fixed it now.

i had to change it to c=\\<pcname>:<ipaddress> MH=A1200:<ipaddress>

didnt think it was needed, but i was very wrong

You can also edit your HOSTS file in Winblows to accept yopu IP from your Amiga

Anyway, I had to write anything in capital letters before I could connect to any Drive on my PeCe
