WHDLoad Update Request Thread

Hello,

as you may have noticed, I've made my packs publically available for you lot to download.

I'm currently working on the first update pack which at the moment contains quite a few games, I'll continue to work on it adding any games that I want to add and any people want me to add (time permitting).

If you find one of your fave games isn't in the current packs, post it here and I'll try to add it in the next pack

And by current packs I mean the ones on my new site, NOT the old packs as well. I've started over

I couldn't get Capital Punishment to work at all.

I installed it from scratch with no luck and I used the install from one of my older packs, still no luck. I tested it on my A1200 and on WinUAE with no luck.

Very strange, i have the german whdload version on my virtual hd, works fine for me. Have you tried the bonus version from the T-Zer0 CD?

The slave the capital punishment needs more work. it does work on uae and real if nocache tooltype is set. it will crash out with an error though at some point on real, but uae lets it continue in a graphical mess. another oddity is that the game starts in german under uae even though the tooltype is not set too.

Beneath A Steel Sky is not going to be in any pack in the near future, I can't be bothered with the hassle. The CD Version takes too long to zip up, and it takes too long to upload just for a single game.

Feel free to upload a working copy of Capital Punishment and I'll take a look at it. The game isn't any good, so isn't worth the hassle for me to spend a great deal of time testing.

Actually, change of plan..

I refuse to fulfill ANY of retrogamers requests because he/she seems like ungrateful bastard who never actually thanks anyone for fulfilling his requests.

Take it easy, KG.

When you want to try Capital Punishment: I've uploaded it ages ago to Magix FTP under my nick-name. But maybe it has the grapic bugs later on, which Mad-Matt mentioned before. It's really a piece of crap, tested it only for a few minutes.

Thanks, I did download it in the end, didn't fiddle with it much though as I figured out why my floppy installed version wasn't working. The LHA inside of the install dir kept crashing on my machine so my final install was only around 2mb.

It's now fully installed and working fine (as fine as it can be considering how dull the game is).

Although after all of this, it's not going in my packs because it's too new

as it was the first time i had some troubles uncompressing one of your archives, i did not investigate too far...but it seems that winrar is able to uncompress it whereas my good old amiga lha extractor cannot...weird!! maybe it's time to upgrade it ....
