If TheCyberDruid's joystick is man-sized, you could ride it and play a rodeo game or something! Otherwise, I can't for the life of me think of a way of using it.
Here are some joysticks of mine: None of them are particularly weird, but the one on the top right is pretty rare and interesting. It's ideal for players who want to hold the lever with their left hand, and the second button from the left is some kind of autofire which in some games (such as Deluxe Galaga) gives super bullets speed. Unfortunately, if you're holding the stick with your right hand as I do it's very easy to accidentally push the right button with your palm. |

@alkis21
It feels like a thrust lever, so it's really weird to play with it However I really like your idea of the rodeo joystick I'm interested in the one that is in the upper left corner of your picture. What are all the buttons on the left for? |

I remember the Bug Joystick getting great write ups in a few magazine so I bought a pair of them. I found them horrible to use.

Well, I have a Gravis GamePad, and have something called a Mindscape PowerPlayer, the latter I don't have actually connected to my miggy at the moment (because the slot is occupied by the mouse...).
This site here has a nice set of really nifty old joysticks, and has another nice picture of the Mindscape PowerPlayer stick. I really liked the look of the PowerPlayer... until I actually started using it. The stick itself, it turns out, rotates on the shaft... so that as you're holding it pushed forward, in the midst of hard game play, by the bridge between thumb and pointer-finger... suddenly you find yourself going on the diagonal without meaning to. Grrr... The design would have been perfect if they'd made sure the stick didn't turn freely like that... Last edited by Nomad of Norad; 11 August 2008 at 05:10. Reason: Added part about the flaw of the second stick |

That Tomahwak reminds me of something! Since I gave it to my friend Alkis, he keeps beating me badly in Kick Off 2... Thanks pal!
