Question WINUAE Audio problems

Hi There,
Finaly ive got the WinUAE up and running (0.8.22 rel. 9)
Useing kick31 (of course) and OS 3.9 over 3.5 over WB3.1
I only installed plain WB system no MagicWB or other flavs.

My problems are:
1) The SCSI.device doesn't recordnize
my DVD/CD player(pioneer) or DVD/CDRW(NEC)
Is there a scsi.device driver that recordnizes ATAPI devs??

2) After searching and reading i only found that
AMIGA online guide stated no need for installing AHI
But with or without the programm, AMIAmp can't allocate
a line in or out???
Further more when not haveing installed the new
paula files and/or mpeg datatype AMIAmp will only show
me to the guru for meditation!

Can somebody please help me out!

WinUAE 0.8.22r9 is rather old, you should really use WinUAE 0.8.25.

Have you checked the "UAEscsi.device" option ? (Misc)

Smile WINUAE Problems

About the CDROM support....
WinUAE 0.8.25 most certainly did the trick.

ThanX WindowsKiller!

Well, the only thing that still bothers me is that AMIAmp can't seem to find audio input or output....
so loading an mp3 song goes well..., but playing is another.

I used an alternative player Prayer2.0..., this works
but only becouse it uses its own engine.
My Emulator only crashes when no mpeg or paula drivers
are installed on the config screen.

My PC Config:

AMD XP2200
Gigabyte Mainboard 7n400pro2
Corsair 1GB Memory
Geforce FX 5600 point of view
Philips PSC706 soundcard
and plenty of HDD space

Of course you need AHI. Both for AmigaAMP and to get better sound quality. Copy ahi.device from http://uk.aminet.net/aminetbin/find?ahiusr to DEVS: and unpack the ahidriver.zip file which comes with WinUAE to SYS:. Then start AHI prefs and choose UAE at 44100Hz for all units.

Wink AMIAMP Problem

After searching i downloaded the BoingBag updates
Since the original CD had some problem issues with
AmiAmp.

If you have the same problem,
Just download BoingBag 1 and 2 you need to install them
both. In BoingBag 1 update i found a scripting problem
wich is easily solved bij placeing a ; character in front of
the problemlines.

In order to update to BoingBag1 it needs the original
CDROM. You might get it working bij assigning the Volume
label to your OS3.9 directory (I didnt have the time to check)

ThanX for the supportive feedback!

b.t.w. my CD-ROM issues are also fixed through the update.
Here is the link for the BoingBag updates,

You can also find them on:
The Greg Donners informative website

Actually that is only Boing Bag one. You have to go to the H&P website to get Boing Bag 2.
