New A1200 cases kickstarter status?

Hello all,

I was just wondering if anyone happened to know what is going on with Philipppe Lang's new A1200 cases project?

It got backed, there was a flury of activity for a while, and all now seems to have gone quiet. Does anyone have any insight?

Chill guys, it's normal for Kickstarter projects to have small delays, it doesn't mean that anything is wrong.

I'm still waiting for my Viva-Amiga stuff and that's *years* after the campaign ended...

Edit: On the campaign page comments Philippe has written that there will be an update soon - he's been responding regularly to backers.

Our last update was published 15 days ago as you already know.
We're currently waiting to get our hands on T2 prototype in around 10 days or so.
(T2 is handcrafted proto from 3D model used in process to manufacture molds).
When this last step is done we'll have a go for molds tooling & cases manufacturing.
As said T1 had an issue I personally wanted to be fixed hence this extra delay seemed necessary. Very sorry for that.
This is a one shot tolling and better be right the first time.
Once molds are made some minor issues could still be fixed but on a lesser scale and these operations would be costly.
You're all guys are going to see photos of T2 as she's mother of all your new cases!
(T2 has nothing to do with Arnold)

Molds are not going to be sold on ebay and i can't imagine P&P for around 6 tons of steel molds!
Storage has been arranged upon next production batch.
Please all of you guys hang tight as where approaching moments all of you (and us!) were waiting for.
Next update to be published with photos right after T2 is available.

Too early to worry @NovaCoder so far there have been delays obviously, but fairly expected ones I'd say. The creation of perfect molds must be very time consuming, and according to Philippe the latest version only needs to be checked / re-checked, then things will hopefully start rolling.

Backers should have gotten the e-mail, but the short story is that the next protype (T2) for the molds is ~10 days away, at which point a review of it will be published as an official update.
If T2 gets a green lights, were looking at another 5 weeks for the production of the molds.
So mid July is probably the earliest possible start for actual case production.
So realistically, if all goes well, some could be receiving cases by August.

Am so stoked for this. Glad it's progressing.

This, plus a recap, and my A1200 will almost be like new again. Add a Vampire (as and when) and hoo boy ... Miggie heaven.

Given the 3d cad design looked pretty complete before the campaign finished. It shouldn't take someone too long to model it in solid works and get an engineering sample produced. (Yes i know he is on the second sample). This was funded Nov 1 2015. Its been almost 6 months with now another month before production.

I am in touch with Phil, because I bought 40 cases. They are getting now their second prototype. It tooks longer, but the reason is just to deliver perfect quality.

No, but really, there is still a bunch of us. Phil posted an update a couple of days ago. Things are moving along, just takes time..
He knows keycaps campaign will need to handle delivery better than this, but all in all, they have already said that its just about waiting now and not much else to do.
A couple of my friends here in Sweden have received theirs - so "country" doesn't seem to have anything to do with it... my RMI also says "Not dispatched" but as Phil once said, in every delivery there's someone who's first and someone who's last.. We just happen to be among the last..
