Easiest work-around - on your NAT-server - set port 20 to be forwarded to the IP address of your Amiga, also on port 20.

Mycket skandinavier här, kul Maybe it is possible to add the passive mode support directly in amiftp, if someone feels up to the task.

Never mind - AmiFTP proxy mode works with ftp-proxy from SuSe which also exist in Debian/Ubuntu/etc

In /etc/proxy-suite/ftp-proxy.conf set as follows...
Code:
[-Global-]
AllowMagicUser yes
DestinationAddress	localhost
DestinationTransferMode	passive
Group nogroup
Port 2121
User nobody
Important here are DestinationTransferMode and AllowMagicUser (which allows proxy connections as AmiFTP likes them - "USER anon@target-address").

Set AmiFTP to use proxy, configure proxy to the linux box and port 2121 (or whatever you chose), and voila

Oh - also set "RUN_DAEMON=yes" in /etc/default/ftp-proxy and enable it with "systemctl enable ftp-proxy.service" and start it with "systemctl start ftp-proxy.service" (or "restart"), a process listing should show "/usr/sbin/ftp-proxy -d" running as nobody.

Problem is that sources are lost, from what I understand.

@xboxown
Thank you too, for triggering me to do some research, it's actually pretty neat to have AmiFTP working "world wide" again after all this time

A bug I have noticed all along, is the "divide by 10" error of file size in the transfer window, that at least should be a low hanging fruit now as the sources are available. I suspect 10240 should probably be just 1024 in this line:
https://gitlab.com/amigasourcecodepr...rWindow.c#L472

(File size is shown as 18719 bytes, while in reality it is 187156 bytes)

It would be cool to see a new release of AmiFTP in aminet any day that have these bugs fixed. The passive mode and the divide by 10 and maybe add couple of neat features or enhancements?

Now that this is triggered and the source code is available..perhaps I will have my eyes open for a new version of AmiFTP?
