MFMWarp Add

Hi

I already ask this but.
Is it possible to add a 'color bloc', a information like tracks in progress (already), to indicate the side where we are.
or just, add a MFMWarp information

Cylinder 0, side 1

It would be quite useful to create a old hack tutoring.

Thks a lot

MFMWarp

One of the best tools for backing up a copy protected disk is a utility by Ferox called MFMWarp. This program can scan a disk at the lowest level and attempt to back it up. Often the copy protection itself cannot be copied so the copy will not work but a clever HD installer writer can write an imager which extracts the data from the disk. The basic format is: <snip>

If i understand well, the request is to indicate which side of the floppy is the current one, in more or less the same way MFMWarp displays it.

Hi !

Maybe i misused the term MFMWarp.
Meynaf is right.

I very often use winUAE for create old HackTuto (in french), it's very interresting to have the information of Where the floppy controler is :

The actually information give me is on cylinder (0-84) or 'piste' in french, but not the SIDE.

Maybe it will be interesting to ADD this information.

Maybe in mfmwarp format so :
Display 00.0 instead of 00

Or, change the color of the cylinder number ? why not...
example : Blue for Up and Green for Down or something else.

The goal is to know EXACTLY where I'm, which side when I use winUAE (and so, when I enter in ActionReplay) and so easily with winUAE.

thks

You still didn't say which track display you meant but I assume you meant windowed mode bottom border bar. I won't make it any more wider or add some special characters, currently right side part can only show plain text.

Use misc panel native/rtg on screen option, it will also show side information (it is fully pixel graphics based). Or use debugger c command.

Happy new year from france

Just somme line to correct what I Say.

DH has right, MFM-Warp is a tools, a lowlevel backup tools from Ferox.
And it use 'form' like 10.1, 10.0
to indicate the position of the head (upper or lower) to know where we are on the floppy.

It's NOT really a 'format' like as I said.
I don't know if this 'form' has a name.

So, As I just say above, I've the information on WinUAE with misc panel native/rtg on screen option.

So, big thks a lot !

See You
