Miracle Piano keyboard query
I was wondering if anyone knew more about how the Miracle Keyboard connects to an Amiga.
I wanted to use the software and was wondering if either: - I can use WinUAE with ANY MIDI USB keyboard I have connected to my PC or - I can connect ANY MIDI keyboard I have to my Amiga's MIDI interface and it would still work. Thanks for any and all information! |

I actually can test my option number one tonight too, I will have a MIDI keyboard I can connect to the PC and use WinUAE's MIDI capabilities to see what's up. The second option, well, I may be able to try it too during the weekend.
Thanks drfsilver! |

"He indicates that emulation works well, though he has only tested a configuration with a MIDI cable for connection to the keyboard and the Miracle keyboard itself, not another MIDI keyboard." So maybe I have hope using my regular MIDI keyboard. I will test this over the wekend. Thanks! |

OK talking t o myself...
Set up WinUAE with MIDI output directioned to my computer's Windows MIDI GS device, and input from my external MIDI controller (a M-Audio Keystation 49e). This works brilliantly! The Miracle System plays MIDI music through Windows GS softsynth, while I can input notes with my MIDI keyboard no problems!! So yeah, this proves that: 1: We can use WinUAE to use the Miracle System without the need of the Miracle Keyboard! Just a USB MIDI keyboard controller will do. 2: Any MIDI interface will work in an Amiga, and besides an input device you will need an output device that plays what the Miracle System plays through MIDI. You may be able to skip that part if you don't need to hear the original tunes but that would make the learning process a bit complicated. [edit] just noted an issue, will try to see if it can get fixed. Last edited by Amiga1992; 18 September 2012 at 18:19. |
