It does end with a message but it SHOULD go back to the game after giving you a score (notice the B to continue). Of course I could be totally wrong on this...Technically (just remembered), since the characters age it is not endless though (unless they didn't in M&M II...lol).

Bard's Tale II ends with a message to the player announcing Bard's Tale III (which never happened in that form) and returns to Tangramayne. The only difference to playing the game before is that Lagoth Zanta disappeared, all dungeons reload every time, even before winning the game. And the casino stays closed, sorry. Same for Bard's Tale I, I think (might not teleport the player back though but rather just exit the tower...been a while since I played Amiga games).

still any message suggesting you finished the game is an ending.

Deathbringer is endless

what about those flight simulations, where after you finish all the missions you dont got any message and you can play em all over and over again?

There's a spell to reduce age, IIRC.

NPI -- what Death Bringer game? The one from Spotlight?

To the best of my knowledge it is not possible to reduce natural age without cheating and the character will eventually die of old age. Artificially aged characters may be restored to natural age though.

I guess that depends on the definition of endless. As far as I understood the definition, a game with an ending would end without allowing the player to continue. Cinemaware games would be a good example of such a game type. A flight simulator with selectable missions would not fit either category, only the missions would.

nope, this one

which is unusual for those types of games.

yes, like F/A 18 which I think have only mission debriefing at the end and not a real ending, unlike Shadow of the third moon (not a good example and not really a simulation, but it have the same mission select thingy) which have a small ending text at the end.

even if it have some text at the end and you can still play missions and stuff it still counts as an end

I've just played through Mystical, using the trained and cracked version by Angels - Defjam; the games doesn't end, when you finish the 4th world, you seamlessly start the world 1 again.
i don't know if this is because the cheat or the trainer or if it's rightly so though, i could not go past level 3 playing without cheats. can somebody confirm?

Most of ECP games are too boring & repetitive for finishing.

well after 200 levels there still are more levels, but you don't get the level codes. So yeah it loops.

most of the puzzle games loop or doesn't have and ending, but some games that have tons of levels actually do end. like Th!nk cross. however they do congratulate you in a good manner (see, I'm a mastermind)

I wonder if anyone ever finished Colonization, and I don't mean just declared independence.

I did this, but the king's troops are just pouring in endlessly, or so I think. I could never get rid of them.
