Added the advertisements, and stopped AdBlock from hiding ads on the site. Hope that generates a few cents a year!

Yes, I have one paypal email address: <snip>
edit: I will add on paypal donate system somewhere, to prevent bot harvesting my email
I found a nice vB mod to perform donation.
You should now see a donate button in navbar

You've just made me think of something, the moderators should be able to use the donation button as a fine for bad behavior.

A sort of swear jar if you like

I think that supporting EAB in both ways is a good thing, but neither using it as a swear jar or suggesting that people have to do it is the way to go It's great that there are those options now, but any kind of elitism and/or blackmailing about it should be avoided.

Mind you,

1306 (Active Members) x €10 = €13,060

Now that would buy some serious hardware!

Unfortunately, I've a problem with the ad-blocker of my firewall to make an exception for EAB. If I put eab.abime.net in the list of trusted sites it doesn't help at all to allow advertisements here on EAB, since my ad-blocker is not blocking EAB but the ad-servers like googleads and others. But I don't want to put these ad-servers into the list of trusted sites, because that would bring back their advertisements on any other website, too.

I would make a donation instead, but this is another problem for me, since I don't have a PayPal account and I will never have one in future, because I don't like PayPal. Is there any other possibility to make a donation, by bank transfer for example?

Anyway, thanks a lot for offering us this great platform, RCK

I will pledge my support in September. August is a hard month.

RCK. You have carried the abime network for many years. It's time the members did a little bit.
