The readme says it can detect and launch .exe file but none of them are detected and added in the list
I've renamed some demos with .exe extension but they are not recognized at all

I don't know if these guys are still around, but I would like to thank mr. Gibs for this amazing app, as well as StatMat for doing a splendid work in providing the covers!

That feature has been removed. I emailed Gibs about it and that's what he replied.

Yes this app is really fast & easy to use. It works very well
Exe file detection has been removed from the current version.
After asking Gibs about this on amigafrance forum last week, he says that some people asked him about exe detection and that he was thinking of reimplementing it.

Does anyone know how can I rename the files in the game selector?

Also, I think there is an option for a mod to start playing when you launch the app! How cool is that? How can it be done?

Hello,

Place your module in S:TinyLauncher and name it " TLMusic.mod ".

I think that Tiny Launcher is a great WHDLoad launcher, along with ABS (Amiga Boot Selector).

I would really like to see another separate section in TinyLauncher for WHDLoad Magazines, as these do exist and should be kept separate from Games.

Have you tried to rename the slave file and then update your game folder ?
Or you can edit the file Games.db that is on S:Tinylauncher folder

I tried this at first, but it seems to mess up some of the games.

Yay, this works! But when I rescan the games with F1, it is again set back to the original title.

How do you rename slaves? I think you can't add space in the name
If for a game name you want for example "My Game Is Great", you have to rename the slave "MyGameIsGreat" with uppercase on the first letter of each word, then the scan will add a space between each word.

As said above, i had a contact with Gibs, the author.
He was thinking about reimplementing the exe detection that was disable when he has changed the scan engine because some people ask for this feature

I do not know if other features are planned or not but I doubt that this will evolve much

What feature are you waiting for ?

Late to the party

Covers... I have gib`s archive and have extracted that to S:Tonylauncher/Covers and then enabled covers using the C key but nothing appears in the game listings? Not entirely sure where i`d expect to see them... Check file names against my WHD titles and all looks to match.

Never too late for some TinyLauncher goodness.

You can actually place the covers wherever you want, I think. Then you go to sysconfig, choose 6 and set the path in which you have your covers. You then update your games and....voila!

Yep, i think its because the cover archive i have does not have the correct full file names... They are matching my game names but they don`t have the _scrX prefix at the end of each file.. I`ll try one and see, if so then i`ll need to get the file names renamed OR if anyone has a full set of covers labelled correctly i`d be happy to obtain it

If the filenames are your problem, there is StatMat's file with ready TinyLauncher covers in the ftp. He did a fantastic job!
