I have started working on Pegasus. Unlike Desert strike I am updating the imager to use rawdic and converting the slave to use patchlists. I will also add a trainer or 2. I will add 2nd button support and probably CD32 joypad, but I probably won't support entering passwords or highscore names via joypad (I'm a bit lazy).

I have to see if the source is available for Pinball Dreams. Did you try asking Galahad if he would be willing to update?

I asked about it in several forum posts but unfortunetly it was never commented on or answered Galahad doesn't seem to have a lot of free time for miggy projects these days

Also he did an update of Head over Heels slave to use CD32 pad but forgot to map the F3 (Carry) key ... unfortunetly he never answered my post about that or fixed the slave for it ...

I started patching and adding CD32 controller support to Slamtilt a long while ago.

Not sure if I have the motivation to continue as I am busy with other stuff. If someone else wants a look let me know

What's left to do? AFAIR we completed the patch more or less and it worked fine.

@Stingy

With the control layout of Pinball Illusions/Pinball Fantasies CD32?

Left flipper = joypad left
Right flipper = blue button
Rest = any other CD32 buttons

Edit: Just tried your testpatch.exe. Works fine, but i find the forward/rewind buttons not comfortable enough for the flippers. Is it possible that you do a testpatch.exe with the above layout?

btw: there is always an annoying buzz sound when you press the forward/rewind buttons on the CD32 pad. Any clue what it is?

Stingray,

I have not touched this in a while (5 years).. So erm... It's kinda fuzzy. I don't think it was a WHDLoad patch. Just an OS type patch.

I can send it to you if you don't have it and you can finish it or WHDload it. Let me know

A level select via the custom tooltype would probably be easier.

Your memory is indeed kinda fuzzy, the patch contains quite a bit of my code, remember? It was a standard DOS patch, nothing to do with WHDLoad. And I still have the source of course, just wondered what actually is left to do as for me it worked fine.

That should be possible, yes.

No, not really, never noticed anything like this so I really have no idea.

Here's a short WinUAE clip, but the same happens on my real Amiga with your testpatch.exe. Doesn't happen if you use the keys though.

I just gave the patch a quick test and it seems to work perfectly for the most part.

The buzzing sound is there if you hold the assigned flipper buttons down.

Also no way to quit from the table yet.

The sound is also there if you push the buttons for a split second. This doesn't happen with the default keys+CD32 pad patch. So, there is something wrong.

Just to rule one thing out: do you use any kind of joystick cable extender? I found out that the one I use does interfere with a CD32 joypad so I removed it.

No, and i can't imagine that a cable extension would cause such an ingame sound. It happens in WinUAE and on real hardware too. The joypad control works perfectly fine.

Well my memory says it was me working on it with you being constantly bugged for help, and yes you provided some of the code, how much I don't remember but it was unfinished hence why it was not released!

As for what is left..

Code:
; TODO

; Add support for >1 player
; Add Escape so we can quit a table
; Find an alternative to the requester, keeping mem to a minimum (Maybe shell output)
; Make it run from an icon aswell as cli
; Have the game ignore the options file if it exists (patch loading to just rts) maybe
; Fix Picasso (waittof)
I believe

Just about done, need to implement pause and some cheat keys for the CD32 joypad. I'll probably have it ready by the weekend.

Changes/Updates so far:

- Converted the install to use patchlists
- Added support for the quit back to OS for 68000
- Second Button support maps to space (intro and in game)
- Updated protection to completely bypass entry screen
- Custom1=1 - Enable Programmers Cheat
- Custom2=1 - Disable blitter patches
- Custom3=1 - Enable CD32 joypad support
Red - Fire
Blue - Weapon select
Play+Forward+Reverse - Quit
Forward+Reverse+Yellow - Abort Game

Also, created a new imager using RawDic

Cool Does the new imager mean smaller disk image files? or extracted data files?

i guess disk image files extracted data files are good when you have a hidden file table with names.
