Apparently these roms are available from Apples own FTP, they came packaged with the emulator.

No loss though !!

Could it possibly be from an aborted 'digitally remastered' version by clickBOOM? Like these from the finished 'digitally remastered' version of Defender of the Crown?

Are these pc remakes any good? From a quick glance, I take it they 'remake' their original Amiga counterparts, which I guess were considered flagship at the time. So it's probably not an abandoned remastered version. If only they remade amy Sinbad....

I have the PS2 version of DotC, and it's a very nice update indeed. The only problem is that the game play is a bit thin - you simply expect more these days.
As long as you are happy with a a DotC version with very nice gfx, but almost identical gameplay to the original, try and get hold of it.

It's the same with the Another World remake. There's really not much going on!

Hmmm, I will ask my Japanese friend to check the FM Towns Database for Sinbad and the Throne of the Falcon. The database is only in Japanese

I do actually have Rocket Ranger (FM Towns)

Also, I've seen in a magazine an image of It Came From the Desert but unfortunately it looks like the Amiga version and it's not listed in the FM Towns Database

Here's hopeing

I heard back from my Japanese friend regarding Sinbad and the Throne of the Falcon (FM Towns). I also asked him to check on other Cinemaware titles

Below is his reply:

Quote:
I gave this a quick whirl, and didn't find any trace of Sinbad and the Throne of the Falcon (nor Defender of the Crown, It Came From the Desert, Lords of the Rising Sun, TV Sports series or Wings for that matter).

Pony Canyon, who published Rocket Ranger, didn't publish any other Cinemaware title according to this FM Towns Database site either.
Oh well, seems that the mystery continues...

Couldn't locate any info on Martha Williams, but it appears that Bill Williams has passed away. Came across this interview with a Cinemaware musician whose favorite game was Sinbad and were friends with the Williams:

Anyway, found his email pigeon@compositeur.net. Maybe someone wants to email him regarding the screenshots?

I've visited the Cinemaware forum occasionally and it's definately not the most lively place on the web.
Also, it seems that when Cinemaware staff are asked questions, you'd be very fortunate if they as much as reply

Defintely Kristian95, I don't thik I ever got a response

Actually it was quite some time go when I last checked to see, taking a look now...

Edit: wow, a response, although the guy seems to believe it was the Apple IIGS version: http://www.cinemaware.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=1872

We've already investigated that but don't believe it is, see here: http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=240453&postcount=68

It is a well-known fact that they'll reply, only if you contact them using an Amiga.

My guess is it might be the X68000 Sharp version as that has some Ciemaware conversions - some one want to check - the graphics for sure could cope with that easy enough !
