Have you also tried emailing the author again just to jog his memory. Maybe explain that actually, its not so easy to find on the internet (i.e impossible it seems) and if he considers it free now it would be awesome to dig a copy out and send it to a dumper. I also really enjoyed the ECS version of this back in the day, would love to play the AGA version in its entirety.

But still a member of mobygames. I sent him a PM there.
If he does not want to register here again ( who would not want to be part of EAB ), I'll forward his answer here.

I got a reply from B.L. Stryker. He has not tried to contact David Parsons again.

But he gave me his address, so if anyone (hitm4n?, Heavy Stylus?) wants to give a try a contacting him again, send me a PM and I will forward it to you.

I don't mind contacting him, in fact, the more people contacting him the more chance he might look for it.

I emailed Dave and have just got a response.

There was indeed an AGA version with more colourful graphics - I can't remember what the situation was with levels - I know some had to change. There were almost certainly some new ones.

However, it seems that the AGA version doesn't exist anywhere on the internet. Which is unusual. I do have my A1200 still sitting in a cupboard, and I've been planning to dig it out for just this reason.
I'm hoping that when I finally get a chance to do this, that I can make a disc image easily, and I'll pop that onto the web.

I've previously had a request for this, but have been very busy. But since you've reminded me about it, I'll try and do it as soon as I can. Once I have, I'll give you a shout with a URL where you can find it.

Cheers,

Dave

Fingers crossed
I'm sure you'll remind him every 3 months, so chances aren't too bad that it'll show up someday...

Hehe, I can be quite persistent but sometimes things are just never gonna happen.

Woohoo some awesome news.

I've uploaded it to my website, here:

I shall gradually flesh it out with more of my independent stuff (it's a little sparseat the moment). I only finished 3 Amiga games (+ AGA versions of 2), and 2 of those are currently downloadable from the site.

And yes, I am still in the games industry. I spent the last year-and-a-half making "Gravity Crash" for the PS3 (PSN download).
