PPC emulation will help with running newer games, demos and utilities which nedd this kind of cpu.

WinUAE is a Classic Amiga emulator so I dont really believe in spending much time on much other than Chipset emulation.

There is an opensource PowerPC emulator though http://pearpc.sourceforge.net/

I am sure that Toni knows all of this though.

I'm happy with what we've already got - I think WinUAE is great as it is. But with the new HRTMon/AR1200 emulation coming soon I'm even happier

Its called JIT.

err.. JIT doesn't emulate PPC.. just makes 680x0 faster :P

But as Toni said, I am sure this has been brought up before and it either wasnt a good idea or wasnt feasible.

probably true for both when the general IBM CPUs weren't fast enough to handle it. now is a different story.

I won't add any PPC features because I am not interested in PPC ("Amiga died when Commodore died") and I have zero PPC assembler knowledge.

And apart from OS4 and MorphOS there's not much no Amiga-PPC applications to run anyway (Wipeout, <yet_another_10_years_old_pc_shooter>... who care?).

the ppc emulation are not emplemente for a simple reason of programmer
are noa a sufficent application to make winuae ppc compatible (rember shogo quake end anoter game for amiga are in pc fasted but emulation under winuae)
for this reason are not implemented
anyway in winuae are suporta a warped 3d (for example a quake on winuae use this library ,the speed of the game under wrap3d are a mush spee above a ppc real or emulation)
jit are a response for ppc emulation
in poor world ... jit are better whita a ppc emulation (in amiga emu eniway)
