I have uploaded my version with converted MIDI music/sound to the zone as requested by rayan259, not sure why but it is 15mb extracted as opposed to AmiwolfFULL118.lha which is 8MB extracted, perhaps related to how I converted the music. Anyway, bigger is better, right?

Tried version 1.21 ECS and it works nicely on my Vampire 2. What changes does it have?

My last release had something wrong with the mouse control, can someone test this new RTG build and let me know if it's smoother or not on real hardware.
I'll stick it in the Zone, thanks |

amiwolf_v1_18_full_midi.lha caused enforcer hits and crashed on exit on my A1200, but I just tried AmiWolf_RTG_040.zip installed over the top of it in my Vampired A600, and it works beautifully! Amazingly fast, excellent music, and better mouse control than a PC!

As long as the hard drive/SSD isn't physically damaged it's usually possible to recover most/all of the files using undelete utilities. Is it a PC or a Mac laptop? Does it have a hard drive or SSD? What OS were you running on it? |

SSD, it's with Lenovo now for repair so fingers crossed they don't wipe it.

Ah I see. In that case I would suggest sending Lenovo an email requesting that they do not wipe the SSD rather than just relying on luck. In my experience IT technicians will often go with the "easy" option, and if they can't spot anything that's obviously wrong electrically then wiping the SSD for a fresh OS install may be something they'll try. In the future I'd suggest you're better off creating an image of the SSD before sending it in for repair. M2 to USB adapters are cheap, as are SATA to USB adapters, the only tricky case would be if the SSD was soldered directly to the laptop motherboard. |

It lives!
[ Show youtube player ] BTW, there seems to be some kind of incompatibility between the Doom sound library used by this port and the new 3.1.4 WB ROM. Last edited by NovaCoder; 14 February 2019 at 02:15. |

Novacoder, github is a great backup strategy!
It would be a pity to loose projects like this if you decide to go back in hiatus or your laptop eventually dies for good. |

I used to play Mac Wolfenstein on Shapeshifter on my 68060-Amiga 1200 back in the day, and of course with Amiga 4000 with graphics card, it was even better. The Mac version musics seemed very different and quite exciting back in the day.
It was also able to utilize a higher resolution, but I can't remember if it was just scaling or not. I remember it running quite well. Nowadays I only have a 68030-based system, so emulating a Mac is not as interesting nowadays, so this kind of port is very welcome. I plan to give more comments after testing it - but it's great to see people are still creating things on and for Amigas! There's nothing quite like a real Amiga, even in the modern day with all kinds of high-tech gadgets and emulators. |

AmiWolf AGA v1.24 uploaded to the Zone and AmiNet.
It's no longer such a big hack, I'm actually quite proud of it now I'm slowly going through my old ports and making little tweaks. I'll upload the MUS music pack to the first post on this thread, not sure if they are higher quality than the other ones listed above but they sound pretty good to me. If someone finds higher quality MUS files then let me know and I'll replace my music pack. Version History: 1.18 - Initial release. 1.23 - Changed timer back to Amiga native, fixed NTSC screen mode, fixed music looping bug, fixed mouse movement. 1.24 - Fixed the automap scrolling. 1.28 - Music volume can now be set as a ToolType. Just bought Wolfenstein 3D and Blake Stone to admire the hard work of Nova.
I'm having trouble with Wolf, it gives an error can't find a Screen Mode for requested mode. I'm using the RTG version and use picasso96 on my radeon. Tried using modepro and newmode to intercept the screen, that didn't work. I had to rename all the .WL1 files to .WL6 from the cdrom I bought. I even tried another version I found online (it was a working version) and had the same error. Tried on a different system that uses cybergraphix, same results. Downloaded the ecs version and tested with same results. Last edited by matt3k; 03 March 2019 at 01:53. |
