Why not start using Cloudflare? It's free and it can help with bots, bandwidth and quotas, particularly with the static content (images) on HOL

There are optional add-ons and paid plans, but I find the free plan more than adequate - still tons of settings I don't need, but also a lot of useful configurability. It is maybe worth a try, as you can always switch the name servers back if it doesn't work out.
