Gloom
Hi All
Just a quick question...I have a a600 with 68020, but no AGA, I am reading that I could run 'Gloom Deluxe'. Is this correct? Sorry if this question has already been asked but could not find it. |

Hi!
I'm pretty sure Gloom Deluxe works just fine on my A600 (ACA630) so you should be just fine |

Thanks, have downloaded to my cf from killer gorrila, when I put into my amiga though it does'nt show up, shows up in dopus but when I copy it to my drive it does not appear in the draw.
I have only ever used whdload site before to download games, so not sure what I should be doing with this, obviously something else in order to install it, probably something simple, can anyone give any help? |

I think icons are missing, just press right mouse button and select 'show all files' from top bar.

Have tried to use the whdload install, just to see if it worked but it did'nt.
I got a draw & Icon but it requires AGA chipset. If anybody knows where I can get the icons to make this work I would appreciate the advice, thanks |

Gloom Deluxe is for ECS or RTG, not AGA.

The Original gloom supported by WHDLoad is AGA only.
Gloom Deluxe is ECS/AGA/RTG and if you install from the original floppy images, you should get all the icons and the setup/config program. |

Thanks for replies, I know that the whdlaod AGA only but thought I might be able to extract the icons etc from it, needless to say it did'nt work, thanks.
Tried the other download, thanks 'Bamiga', but unfortunately it had the same result, no icons so nothing to open. 'Mad Matt', does this mean that if I bought the original game, removed the icons and setup/config in dopus, then added the deluxe version from a downlad, it would work? |

Hi Rag1,
The file Bamiga uploaded does work and does have Icons, did you extract it under emulation or on your real Amiga? Or did you do it in Windows? Don't ever extract LHA's on Windows as the files wont be extracted correctly. |

Hi Fitzsteve
I did it the way I have done all the games on whdownload, downloaded on pc using winrar, then extracted to cf but then when I put cf into amiga nothing shows. when I go to dopus, the files are there but when I open them there is no sign of icons. I am doing something wrong, but don't know how else I can get the files onto the cf in order to transfer them. I am not running an emulator. Thanks |

As said, don't extract them in Windows as WinRAR probably does not extract the .lha file correctly, extract the files on your Amiga using LHA or inside WinUAE under emulation then transfer to your CF under emulation.
On your Amiga you you should end up with a drawer called 'GloomDeluxe' inside it you should have a readme file icon, a setup file icon and an executable icon for running the game. |
