WinUAE rom.key problem

Hi, I am using WinUAE 2.4.1 and the kickstart ROMs from my Amiga Forever CD. I have placed the rom.key file in the same folder as the kickstart roms, but when i start up WinUAE, i get the following error message:

Could not find system ROM key file.

I have tried everything I can think of to get this working, and yes the system ROM paths fiend is correctly configured to the path of my roms.

Any help would be warmly welcomed,

Thanks.

Does Paths panel Rescan roms button find all roms? (Key works if ROM is detected)

Which AF CD version? Size of rom.key file? (exactly in bytes)

Run WinUAE, click "Rescan ROMs" in Paths panel, exit winuae, attach winuaebootlog.txt.

Then run winuae again, select the ROM that causes missing key file error, exit winuae and this second winuaebootlog.txt too.
