WinUAE not recognizing MicroSD

Hi,

I have a strange problem, and I'm hoping someone else has come across this.

It started when I formatted a 512-MB MicroSD card with the Amiga FFS using WinUAE on WinXP. The intent was to place my A1200 programs on the device for a convenient boot.

The first time I did this, WinUAE recognized the MicroSD card. But try as I might I cannot get WinUAE to recognize the FFS formatted media after restarting the program.

Does anyone have any pointers?

Thanks,
Kludgy

As so many other people you wrote a lot of text but it contains no information at all.

Please describe in every detail what you did, step by step, what you expected to happen and what happened instead.

I am quite sure it's something simple, like you forgot to save the configuration or so.

That's not entirely unfair, but there is some information in the post. No point jumping straight into the deep end if it's a common problem with a common solution, yes?

I'm not going to go through the formatting process yet. The media is formatted correctly and boots fine in an actual A1200.

I will post the UAE file system and crits shortly.

Resolved

Well I was going to post the details and then it occurred to me that there might be a pnp issue. I disabled other card reader devices and lo, now WinUAE sees the media. :/

So this appears to be a WinXP or 3rd party driver issue, not WinUAE.

Sorry to waste your time!

"Not recognizing" does not really explain the problem.

Start winuae normally, click "add harddrive", close winuae and attach winuaebootlog.txt. Perhaps it isn't so simple problem after all..
