Download the free copy of eagle, you don't need a full licence to view/edit a board of this size, thats what I did as I'm a KiCAD user too.

This may be flogging the deceased equine to some degree, but are these available for purchase anywhere? I'm in Aus if that helps redirect me to the right place.
Got a nice "new" A1200 without a case and this would help me towards my eventual goal. |

I have acquired an A2000 with no keyboard, so I guess this could be a nice addon for that machine so it can be used with PC keyboards as well? I have some good old PC AT keyboards which are from the same time period so they wouldn't look too much out of place next to an A2000, and I guess this would work with both AT and PS/2 keyboards and it is just a different physical connector?

I have modded an AT keyboard (large DIN connector, i.e. not PS/2) for use with my A2000, using an ATtiny85. I even made a PCB with the proper connectors so the installation is completely reversible without soldering (finding the correct connectors was the hardest part of the project ). If there is interest, I could publish my code - it works for me (TM), but is pretty bare-bones (hard coded 102 key layout, no "online" configuration like the commercial adapters).
There was also a project on Aminet, using a PIC if I remember correctly. |

Nice. I like ATtiny projects.
You should publish this. The large DIN connector still uses the PS/2 protocol right? What are the 2 transistors for? |

No idea really, those are part of the keyboard's circuitry. I may put the code online over the weekend and post a link, or maybe make a new thread - don't want to hijack this one |

I think I have a few ATTiny85 boards around here, so it would be very nice to try out your solution.

I have put the code online here. I'm not actively working on this, and I don't even have my Amiga working atm (so I cannot really test any changes), but feel free to PM me if you have any questions. I have attached a current build (IHEX format).
