Doesn't look like a cartridge.. Probably just an "adapter" to connect another drive and make backups of original games with copy protection.

Yes, that's what it is. I didn't for a second think it was a ROM cartridge.

It most certainly is - it servers basically the same purpose as a cyclone "cartridge" - except with PowerCopy. My experience of it is that it works a lot better than the Cyclone, although I still had some disks which it couldn't copy.

wierd, I duplicated and backuped up a fair few games in the past and my cyclone II never failed me....

I found though that if i got cheap nasty disks it didnt like 'em but that was only one batch....

Cyclone worked on lots of disks - no question of that, but I found there were quite a lot (esp of the long track variety) that it couldn't do (but that PowerCopy could).

Around 2000 I rang the author (Geoff Lohrere) and asked him if there were any updates of the PowerCopy software. He was kind enough to drag out his A2000 from storage and post out the latest update to me on disk. Find PowerCopy V3.07a in the Zone! Enjoy!

yay, what's interesting is that you can copy one protected disc as file.

I explain : you want to create a copy protected of Snow Bros. you create at first a drawer. You choose the option to copy each track as a file. You end up with 79 small files. You crunch them and then copy them on your A1200 where you have Powercopy pro installed on your hard drive with powercopy cartridge plugged. Now you ask for copy back from small file you have done to an empty disk. Guess what, it works ^^ ! Powercopy can copy RNC copylock tracks btw so it's very good
