I tried the open source version of VirtualBox, and I tried the free trials of VMWare Fusion, and Parallels Desktop. Sadly none of them work, and they seem to fail on the USB communication.
I had to resort to bootcamp, that obviously works fine. Once we release the source, we hope somebody can take it and produce a Mac version pretty quick. |

Could you please update/edit the first post of this thread, so that it contains the "shop" link and all the useful info for buying the board etc.?

It may work, but you probably don't want to do that... e.g. you won't get HD resolution from a DD drive.

An Amiga HDD would work though wouldn't it? (even though I ordered a drive too, some of us own a dozen A4000s ya know ) While I was visiting to grab the software to my work laptop I almost considered buying the remaining premium edition but thought I wouldn't be allowed since I already got one
btw, I did like that video you made I have so much application software too yikes |

Also I just remember my A500 Tower has a 5 1/4 drive in it (not that I want to transplant that, nor do I know what its in there) but that could be hooked up too right?
So I went ahead and picked this up a moment ago so some time down the road I'll test it? http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/List...x?id=329616393 I think I'm going to get a ntfc formatted 1 terabyte USB external drive to plug into the work laptop... I wonder if AmigaOS4.x can mount this filesystem yet... |

It's been a while, but afaik Amiga HD drives either use 150RPM or use an external buffering hardware to compensate for the double data rate.
150RPM should work, but if its spinning is poorly regulated then you are better off with an unhacked PC HD drive. Data buffering hardware will completely distort the real timing of the flux transitions and must not be used - no cell density protected disk will be read correctly. Therefore I'd recommend NOT using any kind of Amiga HD drive. |
