Question

How do you go about ripping these other than the obvious "print screen" method? Hex editor or something?
I've just watched ray of hope 2 by majic 12 and there's a really nice font at the end. The guy who wrote the scroller attempts to show off the complete font but neglects to include the numbers, you only get to see the 12 in the group's name! I assume that 3-0 are included in that disk somewhere so how would someone go about digging them out of there?

Necro, but anyway:

There was a much used font that I'm guessing was 3 or 7 colours because it was often used for dual-playfield scrollers as the background pf could be seen through the inside of the font. Some versions were not see-through and many demos used copper to paint inside. Font itself was metallic style looking. Popular 86-88 I'm guessing. Kinda square looking IIRC. The Abandon font is not a million miles away.

Ring any bells?

Just stumbled upon this thread now.
Do you still need the font?
Here are two that I converted from .font to .png for you.
8 pixel fonts, 1 bitplane.

Here's a windows program that can use ripped pixel fonts such as these to create website graphics or whatever you can think of! ^_^

http://www.stefan-pettersson.nu/bmpfont/

I tried it just a while ago by taking screenshots of C64 demos and doing the cut 'n paste trick on
each font (time consuming, i know) but it looked cool..
I was remembering the tool today, but after having forgotten the name and download link of the program, it took some time to rediscover this thread.

The tool can now be found at http://www.stefan-pettersson.nu/site/bmpfont/.

As the saying goes, better late then never. Here are two logos and fonts of the ray of hope 2 by majic 12 disk. Ripped with Maptapper from a saved winuae state. Sadly, there are only the number one and two in the font.
