after a few weeks of off-and-on debugging, failing to build from source on my humble A500, i've identified the source of a frustrating Guru preventing me from using the application-- the internal Protracker player.
by disabling the player in the manager and using Wanted Team's Protracker player, i'm finally able to listen to some tunes without an immediate Guru. unfortunately, it doesn't seem like the enabled/disabled players are persisted between sessions. am i missing something here? is there a way to save the preferred players configuration? a way to banish internal players? ideally the internal player wouldn't give me a guru, but the fact that i have to reboot the machine while debugging makes it frustrating. i suppose the next thing i'll try is disabling playerloader and use the Player.batch config |

@colourspace I thought EaglePlayer required at least a 68020 microprocessor. An A500 comes with a flat 68000.

EP 2.04 works on 68000 and kickstart 2.04. Not all EP2 engines works for 68000. But not all players works (f.e mpega) and some Amplifiers needs much more CPU time. Anyway ChipRAM Amplifier and FastRAM Amplifier works for 4 channels soundformats.
