Permission on host HD reverts so FS-UAE cannot access it

Little prob with fs-uae 2.3.0b1

I'm still using my real CF on Kubuntu 13.04 and fs-uae refuse to boot on my disk :

sudo chmod 777 /dev/sdd

and after launching fs-uae chmod is reverted to it's original states so i can't boot my CF.

Hi, I moved your post to a new thread, as it isn't really a development version issue - subject added as I understood your problem

FS-UAE does not modify the file permissions, so I assume that the problem is that Ubuntu 13.04 reverts the device to default permissions automatically somehow. Note: I haven't checked.

A better way then changing permissions could be to add your user to the "disk" group. Then you can use the device without having to change permissions. Only pitfall is that you can then also read/write other disk devices...

Looks good ("disk" has read+write permissions), but remember that after you have added foul to the disk group you'll need to log out and in again (well, the easiest way anyway).

Verify with the "id" command that you are in fact in the "disk" group
