EasyADF PCMCIA Compact Flash Transfer Kit ?
Hi
Can someone explain how this works in easy to understand terms please? I've tried to transfer adfs from pc to amiga via floppy without any success, how easy is EasyADF to get to grips with for a novice? Thanks |

EasyADF is simply *** GREAT ***
not only to pass .adf over floppy disk .... I mean I found it very very useful to make system recovery and read files from the CF or entire SYSTEM and passing it to the IDH0: We are all proud of EasyADF! |

EasyADF is based on cheap PC hardware coupled with free drivers and software so you could make your own kit for far less than the advertised price.
http://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/cfd http://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/fat95 But Amigakit takes the hassle out of it, that is what you're paying for. |

EasyADF is not available freely - it is a commercial program. The ADAPCMCFL-Boot wizard is also commercial and not available freely. A lot of work was put into both of these programs and the whole disk compliation, including HD Install scripts for OS 3.x and 2.x users.
View the videos posted above to see the difference between a Commercial product and PD program. We continue to invest our time by further development of this package. Updates are available freely to existing customers. After sales support is assured. Printed instructions with screen grabs are supplied with every EasyADF CF PCMCIA Transfer Kit. ADAPCMCFL-Boot wizard has it's own custom PCMCIA Compact flash driver?
The guts of the PCMCIA transfer kit, the underlying technology, the driver and file system are freely available. Don't kid yourself, without them you would not have a product. AFAIK, Amigakit have tacked on rather nice GUI installation & scripts and put them on a disk which take the hassle out of setting it up. Well worth the asking price if you are a novice. But you'd be just has happy with the free CFD, FAT95 & ADFBlitzer (or one of the 10's of ADF gui tools on Aminet) Last edited by alexh; 15 November 2009 at 23:21. |

@AlexH
You need to actually use EasyADF to be able to appraise it accurately. Speculating about its functionality without being a user of the program can lead to misinformation being posted here. EasyADF offers a lot more functionality than BlitzADF: - Offers user the functionality of file uncompression (LZX, LHA and ZIP) - Minimises to an AppIcon for drag-and-drop uncompression of archives and ADF conversion - Can set up RAD: Recoverable RAM drive *automatically* and uncompress ADFs to RAD: - It is RTG compatible - BlitzADF is not. - It contains a ADF disk file viewer (track by track viewing) - It offers comprehensive file I/O manipulation so you can perform many I/O operations without using a Workbench disk - necessary for users without hard disk drive and low memory - File filtering Last edited by amigakit.com; 15 November 2009 at 22:57. |

Hello Anemos,
Thanks. You can change all the defaults through the EasyADF tooltypes. Click once on the EasyADF icon and select the Information option from Workbench's Icons menu |

I am not sure if you are using an older version.
You should have a tooltype called ADFPATH= which alters the default path The file pattern can be changed from default with the SHOWFILES= tooltype, for example SHOWFILES=ALL Hope this helps! |

If your ADF files are kept in GAMES:ADF/ for example modify the tooltype ADFPATH to:
ADFPATH=GAMES:ADF/ |

I've followed the tutorials on youtube, two questions please:
1. How much software is installed onto the workbench disk to enable transfer? My workbench disk is almost totally full. 2. How do you get adfs onto the card in the first place? |
