Sounds weird that it doesn´t work on a vanilla A1200 if that is what u have. I remember mine came with some pinball games pre-installed on my spanking new A1200 bought from a guy with a cool BBS in Tromsø, Norway in 199x sometime. Pinball games are brilliant. Any1 tried Pokemon Pinball on the old GBA? They were phenomenal. Probably works on Nintendo DS and R4s and so on. Lots of gameplay and h.u.g.e. scores.

Hmm, seems like my memory is very foggy these days Okay, played it on my PC later along with Psycho Pinball. Anyway, Dreams and Fantasies worked on my A500 and I could play without having a manual... which I lost... yes, yes of course

I've been playing Slamtilt most of this sunny afternoon (missus had a 'headache....' ) - it's the AGA version.
Anyone know if there are AGA versions of the others? I really have tried just about everything with them now and it's still a no-go. JD edit - scratch that - I see on that WHDownlaod site there are AGA versions of them! Thanks for link |

There was an AGA version of Pinball Fantasies released.
Also there is a 'F'-keys A1200 fixed version of Pinball Dreams available (it was fixed for Budget release). There were no AGA enhancements added. |

Hmmm - I see on the Amigakit website, that the Magic Pack software is being offered for sale and it includes.... wait for it...
Pinball Dreams! So it must work on tha A1200. I have a sneaking feeling that I may need to remove my RAM expansion board to get it to work. I remember having to do that frequently when I last had one, but unfortunately can't remember for which games. I'll try it later (busy watching the footie at the mo - 1:0 up) JD ermmm - make that 2:0 |

No it does not work with the A1200- please read what I have written in this thread. Only the budget release (fixed) version works and the WHDLoad patched version. The 'F' key problem is well known problem with the A1200.
The Magic pack is supplied with Pinball Mania - not Pinball Dreams. |

The OP asked me about Pinball Dreams on my A1200 here: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?p=672138#post672138 |

Guys, don't forget about the "launch menu version" as I call it. I forgot its exact name, but there existed a version with Pinball Dreams and/or Fantasies that ran completely off the HD, was not related to WHDload in any way (!) but had a selection menu on the CLI (albeit devoid of any special bells or whistles)
You know what I mean, for sure This version lives up to the game title, as it runs like a 'Dream' on the 1200 |

I just tried that and it failed miserably. 1st, to get anything to happen, I had to use the 'hidden' start-up screen and disable my drives except df0. Then, after all the shenanigins from both floppies, I was left with a blank green screen and that was it. I think my A1200 is possessed! what, with all the weird issues I'm having (not just with Pinball). JD |

My A1200 is one of the late models - I have just bought one of the early ones, so it will be interesting to see if they work on that.

Eureka!
I have now got Pinball Fantasies AGA working . Now that I have 2 floppy drives, I put one disk in each drive and used the start-up menu to disable all other drives and it worked. Didn't have the same result with Pinball Dreams, though - but I haven't given up yet. JD |
