Kikstart II preinstalled & OS 3.9 issues

I manage to get
Kikstart II preinstalled working with AmigaSYS (using an A4000 or A1200 configuration), but with AmigaOS 3.9, the game just quits to the Workbench in an abrupt manner, without any WHDLoad error message (after leaving the option screen usually, just before the race against the computer begins).

I tried without success to load OS3.9 with an Amiga 1200 config. instead of the A4000 I usually use with it.

Also, I tried it with the A4000 QuickConfig (to which I needed to add RTG and fast ram, as usual), which would load enough of the OS for me to notice the problem was still there.

I really can't say for sure it's something in the OS that prevents it to work, but AmigaSYS + A4000 rom & chipset don't prevent the game from playing fine.

Also, I am aware not many of you run that OS, but it's possible to install it without much hassle within AmigaSYS, from a genuine OS 3.9 AmigaXL/Amithlon CD.

Man, this is a small miracle ! Kikstart II preinstalled now works like a charm on top of my bloated AmigaOS v3.9.
I don't have the courage to try with older versions than stable v2.0.1. I didn't modify AmigaOS (except for a bad*ss Decepticon backdrop ), Codetapper's slave certainly didn't get updated in the meantime, so it must be Toni's compatibility fixes from the last few weeks that did the trick (or my own Vista related bag of tricks which in turn make WinUAE roar on my Dual Core, hard to tell).

This was the last of the Mohicans ! Now each and every of my preinstalled should work (note that I don't have tons of them) :

• With WinUAE (priority is given to actual miggys)
• On top of a custom 3.9 OS (recommended option as far as WHDLoad is concerned is using a stripped-down WB, certainly not a full-fledged OS !)
• Without strict QuickStart config's conformity

Just bring 'em in !
OK, may be I shouldn't brag too loud about this (in case I end up with some other preinstalled failing with my current setup).
