Look on Aminet or The Hardware Book. They have pinouts for all Amiga keyboards, & convertors for most PC -> Amiga combinations.

and there was an A-1000 add-on, called GOLEM
This GOLEM is a third party product for the A-1000 which is an accelerator and memory expansion for up to 4MB ( or even 8MB ?? ). It is very hard to find !
But the seller thought it was something for the A-3000 and so I got the GOLEM and also an HD Floppy drive expansion for the A-1000
Noooooooooooooo!
Damn! I WANT THAT THING! Lucky you, Overdoc!!
Tell me in time if you have so many that I can buy one off you

I do have such a golem box, but it's broken: no stable RAM inside and periodical crashes

Picked up a box of 40+ boxed original games, all minty fresh with manuals for the bargain price of £3. Also picked up an A500+ with printer games etc and a lovely looking 1083S monitor for £10. Didn't really need it but for only £10 it was only right I give it a good home :-)

1084 I assume for the monitor

People in the UK just give machines and software away, you have to pay for the stuff here in the US

The 1083 was sold a lot in France, afaik.
I heard it isn't that bad ! Maybe even better than the 1084

@Andreas:
Haven't had enough time yet to test that Golem.
Btw., do you know if I need some special harddisk for it ? Was it sold together with a harddisk ? Unfortunately the seller knew the harddisk belonged to the A-1000, so I didn't get it with the A-3000...

I'm really jealous of you guys in the UK, who can get all this Amiga stuff for next to nothing
We're planning a holiday there in a few years (when my 2-yr old daughter is old enough to 1. appreciate it, and 2. amuse herself while we drive around & look at castles & things)
I think I'll take an extra suitcase, to fill with Amiga stuff

I was envious of the amiga pricing in the UK, but everything else costs alot more there then it does here in the US. Whats a gallon of gas (3.785 liters) going for these days?

Depends on what part of the country you are in, but typically around 79p a litre, so a gallon would be about £3 or $5.

Compared to $1.45 or so here

I would have to sell my old corvette (V8 from 1981) if I had to pay those kind of prices for gas.

Yeah, big block V8 is the way to go I like those cars but for now I stick to my old Volvo 122 Amazon. Looks a little bit like a US car from the fifties/sixties

Ok, back on topic my last bargain was the following:

CD-32, C-116, VC-1540, Plus-4, VC-20 original package, C64 & C64-C - all 7 together for 130,-
Some guys might have paid 130,- for the 1540 alone, since it is so damn hard to find....

this morning...

A1000 (, no keyboard or SW tho) and 600HD with 20mb - 5 notes for the both!!!!

Both work too theres a surprise, the 600 looks like the HD had transwrite stuck on it and nothing else ever.

Although.... I thought this was a good bargain until i saw some of the posts above

@retroman, whats the chances of buying yer A1000 KB off you?
