Free TCP Stack for 3.1 (no MUI)

Hi everyone,

What options of TCP stacks (for free) I can find for AmigaOS 3.1 (no MUI)?

I know of Miami and AmiTCP (and Genesis), but I am unsure if they are being sold and if we can use them for free (or only some versions).

And after I choose it, if anyone that have the program could put a copy of it in the zone for me, please, I would be grateful.

Thanks.

[PS. MUI is excellent, but we have to pay to be able only to configure its GUI with all its features... Nonsense in the Linux and Windows worlds. ]

AmiTCP 3.0b2 should be the last version that was available on Aminet? It does work but can be a little difficult to setup.

I did not find it on Aminet. Only version there is 2.2 but I am unsure if it supports newer ethernet cards... I dont know, but probably it supports only A2065. I will compare it with other options later.

I would like to use it on WinUAE... Why if it has a internal bsdsocket driver? Because I love stressing WinUAE!

Oh, these kids!

I found on the EAB server AmiTCP 4.3, but I am not sure if its complete or working. I found at least one problem with it, that I managed to fix. Until now, its not working.

Is there a reason why people recommend AmiTCP 3.0b2 over the demo version of AmiTCP 4.x?!?

Thanks

Not true. I can configure things to my satisfaction and I don't have a key for it. Well actually I do, but I choose not to use it as I really don't need all of those configuration options. An Amiga without MUI is loosing out on some fantastic software, it simply doesn't make sense to not install it. Then there's people who claim it 'slows down' their Amiga... absolute nonsense! If nothing is using MUI then nothing of MUI is loaded, which is no different to ClassAct or Reaction or any amiga library.
