Help us sorting out mantis database / remaining bugs/todo in slaves
Mantis whdload database (http://mantis.whdload.de/main_page.php) contains 1500+ non-closed issues.
Of course, a lot are not possible to reproduce due to usage of cracked versions, faulty hardware, lack of details..., this is very time consuming. I'm dedicating entirely to fixing the bugs/adding features. I'm not starting new slaves now. I'd like to focus on the ones that are the most interesting. So: - if you've posted some thread about an issue/improvement on EAB and you got no answer, create a mantis issue instead - read through the issues/filter by interesting game and add comments like "I have this problem too..." to back up the bug report, or bump the ones you'd like to see fixed first. Generally, "I have this problem too..." isn't very useful, but in that particular case it is, because it shows what we should to next. I'll try to close the ones that are very old and I cannot reproduce. |

HUge initiative jotd, I commend your attitude!
People never get to report stuff in Mantis, it's sad. From my own set of reports, I think most of them are being looked into, but I'll have a go and see if anything has become stagnant. Usually anything I reported that was assigned to CFOU is dead. |

I have source code from most CFOU sources (when not already in user installs), Mr Larmer, John Girvin (even if some generic stuff is missing) ... a lot of retired coders. I can contact Codetapper who happily provides sources (CFOU is still reachable as well)
It's just one coder I can' t get hold of the sources, I'm not going to name him... So I can adapt other people's work if there are problems. I'm currently trying to fix joypad input of Deluxe Galaga (cfou!) alongside other stuff. I check Mantis, extract tables, check "interesting" stuff... it's alive. Use it |

Great jotd! Had an overview of my mantisreports. I think you could close one (Quest for glory) and I've attached an alternative version of Spiderman as you requested (just one year ago - time flies

Hi jotd.
Cheers. As I see there are issues assigned to me. First I will check them. There is issue 0001923 which I don't understand, because is in German. Is it possible to translate it by someone or should I use translator |

@Asman:
Any word about Pac-Man '87? It has been listed as 99% complete for several years now. Probably better to release it as-is and then later the disk size can be reduced, presumably that part is very problematic as it is taking the most time. |

@Akira: that one coder is still active. He just doesn't understand that if his hard drive crashes everyone loses his work.
@johnatan: 1 year is like yesterday. Sometimes I fix issues raised 15 years ago... Sometimes it's very easy to fix, just need to reproduce & get the good idea & motiviation. We're not on a tight schedule, obviously (sometimes the users must become crazy about that...) |

@Minuous
Probably you've right. I must recheck PacMan87 slave If I find some free time. Thanks for reminder. |

I've add notes to a lot of my old bug reports. The spam protection don't let me to add more notes. So, the following bug reports can be closed IMO but Wepl needs to decide it:
http://mantis.whdload.de/view.php?id=1930 http://mantis.whdload.de/view.php?id=1934 http://mantis.whdload.de/view.php?id=1615 There are some more reports but I decided to not push them. |

I've closed the Workbench issue.
The Epic issues I want to leave open and hopefully finish them one day. |

My issue is that joypad is detected as a single button stick on CD32. I filed a report and they made an issue with mantis, http://mantis.whdload.de/view.php?id=4147 |

no I did not. But recent talks here seem to indicate that some A1200 motherboards have issues with lowlevel library and CD32 pads, whereas hardware banging Whdload pad fixes work fine.
So the fix is probably to replace lowlevel by some custom emulation. |
