Happy

How come the Hall of light is now working for me at my work computer (previously blocked)?

Has my IT dept dropped a bollock, or have you worked your magic again RCK??!!

This was working fine last night before I went to bed, so it's strange that it's suddenly stopped working

Of course you may have added a new product that interferes with it or has changed it, or updated a product that does the same, other than that I have no idea. Obviously you have probably already looked into this.

This is the 'Mark Forums Read' link that is currently on EAB:-

eab.abime.net/forumdisplay.php << I have checked this on our forum and it does exactly the same as it does on here, returns the same error.

whereas it should be something like this :-

eab.abime.net/forumdisplay.php?do=markread&????????

There is definitely some additional info being missed, and because the 'Mark Forums Read' links in the header and the navbar 'Quick links' are identical, this must be created elsewhere in vb, possibly using a vb phrase of some sort.

3 - Cursor popup: http://eab.abime.net/894861-post130.html (on mouse over: EAB Final Update)
4 - mix : http://eab.abime.net/894861-post130.html (EAB Final Update)

I change the option from (2) to (4), but not sure, full replace was also a good choice in my opinion, less obscur than 894861-post130
It was the option (4) who was breaking "Mark Forums Read", I roll back to (2) replace EAB's link with thread title to fix the problem

Cheers RCK

Always best to check what changes have been made recently. Strange how that has changed an embedded link

Fixed, I think all the HOL problem was here because of PHP's XCache lib instead of APC.

Nice upgrade RCK, great work and big thanks as always for EAB.

Sorry if you are already aware of this - I noticed that the main EAB forum page does not fill up the whole screen when not logged in - it leaves a 7cm blank space to the right. The main bar at the top fills the whole screen, just the main body of the forum page is affected. Once I'm logged in, it fills the whole screen.

Adverts Bloodwych mate, RCK has added adsence for guests and that space is being taken up by adverts

You must have Adblock enabled and that's why it's blank Switch that off and you'll see those horrible adverts lol

Yes, I have added some adsense for guest to help me paying server hardware and hosting
I'm still tuning the ads position, and you will see them as blank area with adblock enable over abime.net

EAB board issues

is there another thread, collection issues with the messageboard already?
i did not found?

1) "Return to the page you were previously viewing"
viewing a thread , and login on this page, i get redirected to mainpage.

2) "Return to the page you were previously viewing"
after logout, i do not get redirected to the previous page - again mainpage.

both were working (IIRC) before the board update was done. is it just me?

Edit: @DH: ok.

@emufan
Moved to this thread as RCK suggests we notify of any problems since the update in here:-

I could not reproduce this one
I was here http://eab.abime.net/news/69495-eab-final-update-8.html and login / logout / login without problem, staying in the thread.

Could you try again and give me more detail to reproduce the bug ?

Thanks
