Ok, I've played through the first level of the .IPF.

It's eaxactly the same as hipoonios's video; in terms of what you can shoot.

So, as already mentioned, either use the .IPF or the WHDLoad version.

There don't seem to be any good .ADFs unfortunately.

Depending on what firmware you have on it you can use the ipf converted the hfe (HxC and FlashFloppy (according to Wiki)).

If you're still using ancient Cortex firmware you're out of luck though.

Looks like a particularly buggy game.

I've cracked the protection by giving the game what its expecting after the first level, and there are enemies on the second level that you could kill on the first level but not the second.

I've looked for checksums but can't see anything obvious, and the coding style doesn't lend itself to checksums because of the relocatable nature of the game.

I know one game with checksums and relocatable code. T-Zer0 has smart enough protection and this is italian game too.

Should be nice to see the copy of the original disk which is in the zone, as a full working adf

just for the info, on the original disk in the zone, here you can select level and number of lives into file bomberbob (but i think the one who looked at it already noticed this)

As I mentioned to you in PM; it's hipoonios... and you can see that from the video.

They are not the same person.

Anyway, I imagine he's using either the .IPF or the WHDLoad version (which effectively uses the .IPF).

Sorry my bad yes it is hipoonios who has the working version on his YT channel

That's the old dead and abandoned Cortex firmware, unfortunately.
You really should update to FlashFloppy or HxC.
I assume flashing FlashFloppy to drive is done same way as Cortex is, it's been years since I've used mine.

He used IPF version. To finish game it was needed also manual with protection info (large poster or small black and white sheet).

Check out the zone, found the IPF and worked from that, if there are any sneaky checksums, the way i've cracked it I doubt the programmer checked for, please test away, but any bugs in the game shouldn't be the result of the crack itself.

EDIT: Image from zone deleted until level 6 bugs checked out...

OK, so I picked the wrong disk image, I picked the one from the zone and not the IPF doh!

So, i've rebuilt another image with all files from the IPF with my crack applied.

Test version in zone in a minute
