new Forum -> Statistics

hey ho folks.

I was just wondering if there are at any place in this beautiful new Forum some statistics?

For example I would be interested in all members LOCATION (origin state) - seems that there are a lot of buddies from ALL over the world but by browsing the members list - I can't see it?

Seems that most people are from USA/Canada, UK and Northern Europe - and some german buddies, too (*uups* forgot the french and southern Europeans , sorry ;-) ).

but what about the other nationalities?
Nice to see some people from Down under and Southern America (wasn't aware that the AMIGA was released in Brazil and Argentina, too) but are there more countries?
AFRICA?
Do the Dalai Lama own an AMIGA?

TikTok is from Africa, if that's good info for you

The Amiga was never officially released over here, independent importers brought it and as such, it was helluva expensive. The C64 did get a local release.

Would be interesting to sort member list by location, yes . You also have to remember lots of members don't put their real location in teh description, so this can be misleading.

yeah, I guess you mean these "somewhere on planet amiga" guys...

ok @Akira, it's up to you, as I don't know how it works

Why not create a POLL where anybody can vote for his home country, like "where do you come from". Should be easy to set up this poll with all countries with your member knowledge - or should I say wisdom ??!??

A poll wouldn't work. We can't remember every country.

I'm wondering one thing. Why do british people use UK as a part of their nicknames? Is that a habit from old forum softwares that didn't have a visible location field?

hmmh...

how many states are part of the UN council? 142 ?

ok, you might be right...

perhaps about 3 polls...for EUROPE...AMERICA...and others ( I guess these 66 states in africa can be neglected...just to sum up to Africa).

For the UK in nicks. Well it's the same with putting your age in or your genger (f,m)...other would say these English people are so proud of their home country that they have to announce it everywhere *no offense*

*lalalala*

had some nice talks here in Salzburg, Austria, with students from all over the world and their attitude towards different countries...
you know, just joking...it's somehow funny to realize which opinions some countries have about Germany (and most coming from abroad even thought that Salzburg is located in Germany )...
