This is something we have discussed a bit in the group and since that stuff is not copy-protected, nor does it 'officially' fall under the auspice of commercial software, we've relegated that to the TOSEC team for preservation. Along the lines of coverdisks (the non-copyprotected ones, anyhow). The reason being that the TOSEC project adequately preserves these disks, which is not possible with original commercial disks. At least this was the last stance I remember CAPS having on this.

I have a number of Software of the Month club disks, as well. Some came with some auctions I won on ebay, and some others I have from when I was a member. I plan on dumping them one day and scanning the sheets that accompanied them.

Can you dump the SotM disks you have and post them to the Zone? I can make sure they get to the TOSEC team for inclusion in their dats.

Just to confirm: Spot on.

If there are any PD (what is the point?) / coverdisks that are protected then we will make an exception. However they probably will not be in our "offical" release list - just dumped and the appropriate files given to the TOSEC team (or whoever is interested) just so it is done. These must be *games* based coverdisks only! Are stance is still the same on applications - i.e. no go area - even if copy protected.

There are a few Coverdisk known like this:

Amiga Action #6 (Ilyiad)
Amiga Action #7 (Armour-Geddon demo)
Amiga Action #8 (Purple Saturn Day)
Amiga Action #10 (R-Type demo)
Amiga Action #34-1 (Liverpool demo)
Amiga Power #1 (Bombuzal)
Amiga Power #2 (Kid Gloves)
Amiga Power #13-2 (WizKid demo, Sensible Soccer demo, Sim Brick, Sensible Startest).

(list courtesy of TG)

If anybody knows of anymore, post them here!
